Information
COVID-19 Symptoms
The typical symptoms of early and mild COVID-19 resemble those of the flu or other upper respiratory infections:
-
Fever
-
Dry cough
-
Sore throat
-
Headache
-
Muscle aches
-
General feeling of illness
These mild symptoms of COVID-19 are often indistinguishable from a regular cold or flu caused by something other than the novel coronavirus.
If you have symptoms but are unsure whether you're "truly" ill, we recommend that you treat yourself as being ill.
When to Contact a Doctor
You should contact your doctor or the out-of-hours medical service if you experience:
-
Severe or worsening breathing difficulties
-
High fever
-
Worsening symptoms over several days
-
Symptoms and you belong to a high-risk group (see under "Special Risk Groups")
Your doctor will then assess the next steps, including whether you should be tested for COVID-19.

Health Insurance Card
In general, the health insurance covers the clinic’s services provided that the patient presents a valid health insurance card – so please remember to bring it. Services not covered by the health insurance agreement must be paid for by the patient.
Length of Consultation
For the sake of the clinic’s regular operations, a maximum of 15 minutes is allocated for each consultation, including paperwork. Please respect this time limit out of consideration for other patients.
For chronic illnesses (such as diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung disease, etc.), blood test results or other time-consuming lab work are often involved. Therefore, check-ups are split into two visits approximately one week apart. One reason for this split is to ensure test results are available for the consultation with the doctor, providing the best possible basis for decision-making.
Sleeping Medication
Sleeping medication/sedatives must be requested in person at the clinic. This means sleeping pills/sedatives cannot be ordered by phone or email.
Sleeping pills/sedatives also affect driver’s license renewal, as they must be recorded on the application for a new driver’s license. Many sleeping pills/sedatives stay in the body for too long, and consequently, you might be unable to renew your driver’s license.
It is not permitted to drive if you have taken:
- Nitrazepam
- Alprazolam/Alprox/Tafil
- Diazepam/Stesolid/Apozepam/Valaxona
- Halcion at 0.25 mg
- Alopam/Oxazepam at a maximum daily dose of 30 mg
- Imovane/Zolpidem at a maximum daily dose of 10 mg
- Zolpiclon/Imozop/Imoclone at a maximum daily dose of 7.5 mg
Illness
Consultations are only available by prior appointment.
Home visits: Requests for urgent home visits must be made by phone between 9:00–10:00
Home visits are carried out at the doctor’s discretion if the patient’s health condition indicates it.
Email Consultation
You can submit simple, concrete questions to your doctor or nurse and receive a response. We have 5 working days to reply to emails. Urgent inquiries must not be made by email but by phone.
